I do often get asked how it is to spend winters in Iceland. While I can highly recommend coming to Iceland during the summer months, to experience the midnight sun in June for instance, the winter beauty is unbelievable.
With the Northern Lights, the long dark days that provide a wonderful atmosphere during the holiday season and the fact that you can enjoy the beauty of the nature in Iceland just as much during the colder months of the year.
In actual fact, thanks to the jet stream, the winter months rarely provide colder weather than just around freezing point (0 degrees Celsius, 32 degrees Fahrenheit).
