Running a business can be overwhelming, especially when you are trying to get out of the door and get the systems and processes in place instead of focusing on growing the business. Here are a few tools I have been testing and using that I can recommend you take a look at for the purpose of building your business. The are all geared towards working online, browser based and many of them have apps supporting your work on the go.

  • MailChimp – Entry level eMail Marketing Software

  • SendGrid – Transactional eMail Service

Files

  • Amazon S3 – Storage in the Cloud with infinite scale
  • CrashPlan  – Backup of your laptop
  • Dropbox – Sharing and Storing of all your files including sharing with your team
  • GoogleDrive – Share your files and collaborate on documents and spreadsheets in real time
  • iCloud – Backup of all your Apple Devices

Graphics

  • Adobe Spark – Create graphics on the fly
  • Canva – Create graphics to be used in Social Media Feeds and Webpages in a very nice interface

  • Apple iMac – the desktop computer I use
  • Apple iPad – often used when on the road
  • Apple iPhone – my main device for my location independent business
  • Apple MacBook Pro – my workhorse for on the road
  • Logitech C922 Webcam – Higher end webcam that can be carried around
  • Microphone Blue Yeti – Main recording microphone for your computer
  • Zoom H1 – Record audio such as podcasts while you are on the road
  • Zoom H6N – Record audio in Mastermind settings such as a big room in high quality
